Elsa is a professional musician who holds a Music Performance Degree on trumpet (orchestral repertoire stream) from the Victorian College of the Arts. Along with teaching brass, she regularly performs freelance for orchestral and musical theatre gigs throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

As member of various bands Elsa has enjoyed contest success at the highest level with Melbourne Youth Symphonic Band (A Grade National Champions 1999) and Hawthorn Band (A Grade National Brass Champions 2004). She has also been a member of the Melbourne Youth Orchestra (MYO) and is the Melbourne Youth Symphonic Band Manager for Melbourne Youth Music on weekends.

Elsa is an avid sports fan and follows Geelong Football Club, Melbourne Storm and Melbourne Victory. She has also played women's club cricket for Bundoora Old Paradians CC and represented Victoria in underage competitions.
